💡 Understand: External IDs

What are External IDs?

When configuring certain settings/business objects in Whoz, there is the option to add an "External ID" (although this is not mandatory). This is applied in certain settings in the Administration app and again, the business objects throughout Whoz.

This ID allows these settings to be identifiable and synchronize functions in Whoz with your other external business applications or systems used within the organization.

Where are External IDs used in the Administration app?

They are used by the following settings in the Administration app:

• Qualifications and categories.
• Dimensions and clusters.

Where are External IDs used in the Whoz app?

They are used throughout Whoz in areas such as:

• Accounts
• Contacts
• Opportunities
• Deals
• Projects
• Talent requests

📝 Note: Only Power users and the owners/creators of these business objects in the Whoz app can access this business data. Administrators are restricted from modifying any business data whatsoever. This is for security reasons.
